Monitor crash victims laid to rest

Tragic. The two died instantly when their car rammed into a stationary Fuso lorry at Nabweyo village in Budaka District.






Serere. Monitor Publications staff who died in a fatal accident at Budaka on Tirinyi-Mbale road at the weekend have been laid to rest.
The two, Daniel Aada and Tony Kaddu were separately laid to rest on Monday in Serere and Mukono districts respectively.






Aada, who was working with Daily Monitor’s Circulation department, was buried at his ancestral home in Apokor village, Atiira Sub-county, Serere District, while Kaddu was laid to rest at Nkokonjeru in Mukono District.
The two died instantly when their car rammed into a stationary Fuso lorry at Nabweyo village in Budaka District. At the time of his death, Aada is said to have been in preparations to marry his longtime girlfriend, Ms Sarah Nafuna, 23, with whom he was traveling on the fateful day. On Monday afternoon, Ms Nafuna went against her doctor’s orders and showed up for the burial even with her injuries. Overcome by grief, she broke down before mourners and suddenly collapsed.






A condolence message read by Mr Simon Peter Emwamu, the Monitor Publications Ltd (MPL) Bureau Chief of Soroti on behalf of the Managing Director, Mr Tony Glencross, said management and staff were saddened by Aada’s sudden death. “The late Aada was a hardworking and a committed employee who will be sadly missed,” the message read in part. The area Member of Parliament, Mr Stephen Ochola, asked the mourners to keep praying for the family.






THE BACKGROUND
Aada was born on 25 August 1984.He studied at Apokor Primary school, Chadwick Namate Primary School and later joined St Peter’s College, Tororo, for both his O and A levels. He later joined Uganda College of Commerce.
