Resurgent Titans aiming to deepen UPDF woes

KAMPALA. After losing their opening three games to City Oilers, UCU Canons and Power, the fixture list seems to have softened for KIU Titans.
Four consecutive victories against Charging Rhino, Sharing Youth, Our Saviour and Falcons have consequently followed for the Hamza Nyambogo coached side.
And they will also be strong favourites to improve to 5-3 against newly promoted UPDF who they meet in the evening men’s game at YMCA Court this evening.
“One of the challenges we had are the many new faces coming in,” he has consistently countered.

Ivan Lumanyika has since joined to strengthen the front court that previously consisted of Geoffrey Soro and Henry Malinga.
The army side has meanwhile not had a comfortable start to life in the top division winning only once 70-56 against Ndejje University.
They have also scored the least points in the division averaging 55 points from their seven games thus far.
In the women’s league, bottom side KIU Rangers, winless in seven games, will hope for an upturn in results against Nkumba Lady Marines who are sixth on the eight team log with a 3-3 record.
