The group, led by the chairperson of the party’s Women’s League, Ms Zurah Nabirye, clad in black T-shirts with the inscriptions; “Free our President Dr Kizza Besigye, Respect Our Votes” camped in the middle of Waiswa Road in front of the party’s offices where they held multidenominational prayers.

Pastor Michael Osinde and Sheikh Sadam Byakika, who presided over the prayers, condemned the police’s continued presence at Dr Besigye’s home in Kasanganti, Wakiso District.
The duo prayed for divine intervention.
The pastor urged all Christians to heed the teachings of the Bible in Isaiah 1:17, which calls on them to “Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed” and “Take up the cause of the fatherless and plead the case of the widow”.
