Mukono. The NRM party Secretary General, Ms Justine Kasule Lumumba, has said ministers and other candidates who lost during the NRM primaries and are contesting as independents risk being dismissed from the NRM party.
Lumumba insisted that those who lost in the NRM primaries must support the party flag bearers.

Ms Lumumba maintained that party laws do not allow whoever lost during party primaries to contest as Independents. “All ministers who do not follow NRM laws will be left out because they are a shame to the party. In our party laws, there is no where it states that one who has lost in the primaries should contest as an Independent,” she said.
She was last week addressing all NRM flag bearers at Mukono Boarding Primary School in Mukono District.

Ms Lumumba warned civil servants against opposing the government, saying this has hampered service delivery. “When someone in a leadership position opposes the government then that person will not work as expected because his or her aim will be to apportion blame to the government,” she said.
