I am reading a book titled Bold by Peter Diamandis and Steven Kotler. The premise is about what it takes to create amazing results in organisations and personal lives.
And that is an assertion I subscribe to. So here are a few tips on making 2016 mega.
Study what you want
You cannot attract what you do not understand. Whatever it is that you want to manifest in 2016 has to be researched, studied and practiced. I do not think there is a champion who does not subscribe to these gems.
10x your thinking and actions
Another book which has impacted me positively this year is The 10X Rule by Grant Cardone. His thinking is that whichever goal you set, there is a high probability that you will fall short. Therefore, he believes that whichever goal you have, multiply it by 10 and develop a plan to achieve it. For example, if you were planning to harvest 10 sacks of maize, change the goal to 100 sacks and develop a plan on how to achieve it. Then, get to work. Even if you fail to hit the target, most probably you will hit above 10. Here is an example, before I read the book, at the start of 2015, I made a decision to produce 12 video products in order to account for every month of the year. Later, I changed it to 52 (more than four times the original goal) in order to account for each week of the year. I failed miserably to hit the latter goal. I produced only 23 products. But, I would rather produce 23 than 12. Oh, if I had set a goal of 120 products, I am very sure I would have surpassed the 52 goal mark. I hope that makes sense. Be practical and try it.
New environments
If you did not get what you were aspiring for in 2015, it is time to look closely at your environment. If you want more money, hang around people who have more money than you do. Similarly, if you want to lose weight, hang around individuals who are health conscious. Their habits will rub off onto you.
Accountability
When am convincing individuals to sign up with me as their coach, I tell them that I am not asking them to do what I do not do. Every Monday, between 4pm and 5pm, I speak to my coach. This has created a huge difference in my life. I know I have written about this before and I will ask you again – please hire a coach. If you are not in position to, then get an accountability partner.
Do something crazy
It is a new year. Do something different. Something you can look back and say, “Wow. I did that in 2016”. Be bold in 2016. Go for it.
