News that pensioners are to be paid soon would have been good if only it was not a public relations stunt.
It should be noted that assurances and reassurances have been since September!
The cleanup exercise that the Permanent Secretary is clinging onto as the reason for this unprecedented delay in paying pensioners is a stale excuse.
Secondly, pensioners do not demand two months as claimed. We were last paid in August and l personally was not paid between March and June and l am sure l am not alone!
Lastly, I would like to know who is responsible for the ghosts on the pension payroll, what action has been taken against the errant officers and how long is this cancer of abusing pensioners expected to last?
I have prepared a detailed document/petition which l want to present to the president on one of his rallies.
I am writing this with pain because l know of orphans who missed exams because their guardians couldn’t raise school fees.
