Man admits to murder of police officer



Gulu. Mr John Ogil, a man who was charged with murder of a Special Police Constable (SPC), has admitted to the offence at the Gulu High Court.
Appearing before Gulu Resident Judge, Lady Justice Margaret Mutonyi on Monday, Mr Ogil admitted to killing Thomas Okidi, SPC No 1576.
Prosecution led by Mr Patrick Omia, told court that on September 19, 2013, Ogil came home and found the deceased having sexual intercourse with his wife on their marital bed.
Mr Omia alleged that on the fateful day at Railway Quarters in Layibi Division, Gulu Municipality, the accused physically assaulted Okidi leading to his death.
