Clockwise: Fr Sande Anthony Nyeyambe, Kiirua Parish, Meru diocese; Christine Nakitende, Owner, Briquettes factory; Henry Kiwuwa, Music producer; Aisha Nagudi, Former model; Lolah Adhama, Model

Noah Walakira
CEO, Namirembe Sweater Makers
2015 has been a good year. I have managed to exceed the list of goals I made for this year. I have seen my business thrive to amazing heights and won great awards.

My story was featured on famous media sites such as Daily Monitor newspaper and CNN and I have connected with great business people, opening up new ventures. I have also proposed to my dream wife.

Best advice: Pastor Robert Kayanja, in 2006, when I was in Primary Six said we are responsible for every decision we make, and that we can decide to be all we choose to be.
“Be your best, do your best, and God will do the rest”, our motto in Mengo Senior School became more meaningful when my teacher and personal consultant William Edward Ssettuba mentioned it to me during difficult situations.

Fred Muganga
Managing Director, FM Quick Printers
2015 has been a great year. I became a grandfather and all my immediate family is healthy and well.
Best advice: Someone once told me to take a bank loan.

CEO/co-founder, Nomad Advertising Limited
2015 has been fruitful. I’m grateful to God. Our second daughter Shona was born in August, in the same month as I was.
I was also at the driving end of the production of my father’s (Charles Kabuga) autobiography, Learning, Leading, Legacy, the launch of which made our family history a reference point for the generations to come.

Best advice: My parents told me, “omuntu agira ekiyatiina.” Literally translated, everyone must have something they are afraid of.

This means, regardless of who you are in life, you must be accountable to someone or something, whose opinion you hold in high regard.

Nancy Kitaka Mugga, TV presenter and events hostess
2015 has been a great year. After my father’s (Sam Peter Kitaka who put a grinding stone – olubengo – on President Museveni’s head during the 1996 presidential campaigns) death in 2014, I did not think I would be able to stand again.

This year, I have hosted events in Europe appreciating African women and I won a humanitarian achievers award for my charity work with HIV/Aids among the Ugandan community in London.
Best advice: My husband, Paul Mugga advised me to take an undergraduate course in adult nursing, besides hosting events. He believed this would give me a complete package especially to help the sick in social work.

Fr Sande Anthony Nyeyambe, Kiirua Parish, Meru diocese
2015 has been good. I fulfilled my dreams.

The Best advice: Fr. John Byamukama said a priest is a leader called to proclaim the good news of salvation. He told me I’m God’s special representative with a mission and indeed, I am happy to serve people and bring hope and consolation to those afflicted by forces of evil and poverty.

Bishop Emeritus Egidio Nkaijanabwo also advised me to protect Christians against wild beasts, which means I should be a caring Shepherd.

Lolah Adhama, Model
2015 has been amazing. I did things I did not expect. It is a year in which I have rebranded myself in many ways, one of which is that I am now an ambassador for Honey Bee, a lingerie line in Tanzania.

Best advice: My father told me to follow my dreams. It always has to be me first and I must do the things that make me happy so that I do not have any regrets.
